I baked this!
One of the best things I learned during quarantine is baking--thanks to my aunt and Chef RV Manabat's YouTube Channel.
So far, I've learned how to bake chocolate chip cookies with walnut, fluffy mamon, and cheesecake--all from scratch! ☺️ I was able to bake and help cook some viands as well. They all turned out great. For a newbie, that's something to be proud of haha!
For my birthday, I baked my favorite blueberry cheesecake. It's still not perfect, particulary the sides still sticking to the pan lol. At least it tastes really, really good. 😁

I feel like the first try, the one I baked for my parents' anniversary, looked better--no cracks/breaks, but they taste the same. Hindi nagbago. "Parang Starbucks pa rin", sabi ni papa. That's an accomplishment.
But of course, you aim to do better. So the next time I bake this, I hope to avoid the cake sticking to the pan. Shortening or butter, maybe? Haha!
Chef RV said, it shouldn't stick, but remember, "you are not Chef RV" hahaha. I hope to figure this out and have the perfect looking and tasting cheesecake.
I look forward to more baking recipes!
P.S. My chocolate chip and walnut cookies are really good. My officemates, friends, aunt, lolo and parents can attest to that! 😆
Thank you Chef RV for creating a YT channel! 🤍

The downside of being 'too formal'
When you are too formal and you write thinking about what others would say about your writing, you end up not to writing at all. In this case, NOT blogging.
This has to change.
This is probably why I have not been blogging as much as I want to. Haha! Medyo perfectionist.
So, here I am taking to myself:
Bear in mind that this is YOUR space. You are free to blog about whatever. You need not be formal. You write what you wish to write, what you feel, or what you think.
This is your space, self.
Kaya mo nga magpost sa FB, Twitter etc. People are harsher there. This blog is your safe space.
Blog as often as you want.
Deal?
DEAL!

Cobra Kai and holding grudges
If there's something I learned from Cobra Kai, it's that we should avoid holding grudges. Holding a grudge, that lifetime resentment of yours, would not do anyone any good. It affects everyone around you--your family, your friends, and even the community.
Well, yes, it's just a television show, but the parallelisms in the real world is glaring.
It happens.
Art imitates life.
We hold grudges. Most people do. It's probably human nature. And more often than not, it's petty.
Imagine if people would just listen to what the other has to say. Talk to and with each other. Imagine if Daniel and Johnny just talked and listened, their rivalry would have not escalated like it did. Imagine if people STOPPED assuming like they know everything or what everyone's going through, we would probably be living in a more peaceful world.
Just imagine.

The beauty of nature!
A Natural Dishwashing Liquid made me a Human Heart Nature believer--an advocate. Why? Well, it's tough on grease and gentle on skin. It's environment-friendly too! This triggered my interest on Human Heart Nature.
I tried more of their products--Lip Butter, Skin Shield Lotion, Purifying Facial Scrub, and loved every single product I bought.
The Skin Shield Lotion was really effective. Mosquitos away! It smells like candle though! Ha ha ha!
The lip butter moisturizes the lips more than any other lip balms I've tried. I love that it has that cooling sensation as well.
The Purifying Facial Scrub gently exfoliated my dry/sensitive skin. No adverse reaction whatsoever. It was then when I decided to try more skin care products--facial wash, toner, and moisturizer. My skin responded well with the hydrating facial wash and toner and the day and night moisturizers.
I therefore became interested in the membership and dealership program, most importantly, the discount! Particularly now that it seemed like I'd be using their products in the long run.
To be honest, the business side was a mere afterthought. 😂
I took the chance anyway!
It's also easier to convince people to buy your products when you're actually using them. So, if you'd like to experience the beauty of nature, try Human ❤️ Nature's products through my online dealer shop, TallGirlWonders.
My personal favorites include: Dish washing Liquid, Lip Butter, Hand and Foot Salve, Skin Shield Lotion, Natural Sanitizer (1L) Natural Hand Soap (1L), Purifying Facial Scrub, Sunflower Beauty Oil, Hydrating Facial Wash and Toner, Day and Night Moisturizer, and Sunflower Body Scrub.
Also, if there's something I'm really proud of as an advocate albeit a newbie, it's Human Heart Nature's environment-friendly and reycling programs. They have refilling stations for the big bottles and/or 1L sizes. Empty plastic bottles may also be returned for recylcing and/or proper disposal.
Let us support this--not only for the environment, but most importantly for our future. 🙏🇵🇭👌
