Free wins.

0

I'm back on Blogger! (No one actually cares ha ha ha)

After trying paid hosting (Hi, Bluehost x Wordpress!), I came to realize that FREE is always better for blogs. I still paid for/renewed the domain with the thought that I could access my website through WordPress for free. Apparently, it can't be done or maybe it can be. Merging it with my Blogger was easier and no additional expenses had to be made. So, yay!

Bluehost costs too much as well. Next time, just stick with free and if you want your own domain name, Blogger has that option--and, it seems cheaper!

Anyway, here's to new blog posts!

It's great to be back!

Randomsity!

+ To watch or not to watch?

I watch a lot of TV shows. Hence, it's all I've been doing since summer vacation started. I regret nothing, but I think I need a break from it--just for the rest of the night. And, just blog about the little thoughts I have right now...before I forget them. Haaaaa!

+ I'm not creative enough. Or, I'm probably just lazy. Nah, I am lazy. I hope I get to push myself to do more of the creative stuffs I used to do no matter how ugly they are.

+ I wish John Legend would sing "It Don't Have To Change" more live. It's a great song and it brings back amazing memories. Oh, the nostalgia.

+ Well, I've read or heard somewhere that when you become reminiscent of the past--the happy moments, just the nostalgia, it is said that you are one unhappy person. Hmmm. I'm not sure if I fully agree. Somewhat, maybe. There's no scientific proof to such claim! Heh.

+ weheartit seems cool. Yeah, it's the first REAL step to share things I'd want to share in a different point of view--more personal and more private. Photos and random blurbs through photos ha. :)

+ For a change, it's a 'no photo', 'no video' entry.

BLUE SKIES.

7

I've tried a similar thing before but I'm going to try it again since April said so! This is quite cool ha. Really. If you think about it, it is.

The mechanics:
1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Tag people **
5. Everyone tagged has to do the same thing and tag the person who tagged him/her back. **
6. Have FUN!
**No need to tag. This is a blog post, not a Facebook/Twitter post. Yep, the rules have changed in this world. You can do it if you want to.

This is too random.

0

Hence, the title.

I had to—been wanting to post this. In fact, I have shared the first version of this a few minutes ago on Tumblr.  Now, it’s here. Too cute! This is a fun moment on American Idol. You’ll get it if you’re a fan of these two, which I AM. So, yeah, deal with it.

KeithMariahAmIdol12

This is the episode where Randy and Nicki went on stage to ‘have a word’ with Jimmy (That’s one way to put it). Haha. Well, that left Keith and Mariah on the judges’ table and the rest as they say is history ‘bonding’ like their fellow judges on stage with Ryan and Jimmy. It’s just too cute. Plus, I kind of ship them on American Idol but not the way it is defined. I just like their chemistry. :)

In spite of the feud, the drama and everything in between, American Idol will always be my favorite reality-singing competition TV show. No such other show has come close. And, Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and Mariah Carey are my favorite American Idol judges! :) They are NOT self-proclaimed music experts. They are real musicians and true artists. They know who they are and the industry they are in. Some people may not appreciate them as musicians, artists or judges, but I do. And, that (for me) is all that matters.

My GetGlue stickers are here!

0

It's legit after all.

April 23, 2013. After weeks (a month and a week), my GetGlue stickers finally arrived. I think they are really cool. Heh.

I did not really know what GetGlue was until I tried it. I actually thought I could watch TV shows and movies for free. Haha. I mean, who knew!?!! Eventually, I learned what it was about. Great for sticker collectors like me! Yeah, I have bunch of stickers--not as many as the real collectors, of course. I am a normal sticker collector and I think GetGlue stickers are really cool esp. those limited stickers. Yeah, sometimes you just need to check-in even though you're not really watching the show/movie, HA! Well, most of the time I only check-in to shows/movies I currently watch. At least, the 'I am watching' phrase is official when you connect it with Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. It looks organized and good ha.

Since they're so pretty and cool...and more importantly, they are actually ordered and shipped for free, the second batch is on its way! I do hope I get to receive 'em still!

Don't get lost in the way, GetGlue stickers!

The Great Abenson and The Powerful Lumia!

0

Smartphones are definitely IN these days. You have the iPhones, the Android phones, the Blackberry and, of course, the ever reliable Nokia smartphones—i.e. The Windows Phone. And, this, ladies and gentlemen, is what we are talking about. Nokia, powered by the new Windows 8 system. Yes, they have come together to have one, great and powerful phone. They have emerged and are definitely fighting back.

If you are looking for powerful, stylish, yet affordable smartphones, Nokia Lumia 620 is the best phone for you. There’s Lumia 820 and 920 for high-end users as well. What makes it different from all the other phones out there? Simple, its elegant layout, the Nokia smart shoot, which make it easier to take a series of photo in just one click, the wireless charging, the swappable shells, and of course, the full versions of Microsoft Office, Outlook and IE 10. Plus, Nokia has, arguably, the best camera phone out there.

Also, the Lumia 620, 820 and 920 have had rave reviews on its free cloud storage and free streaming music. Moreover, in Lumia 620’s case, it fits in your pocket—it’s not bulky, not huge—simply, it’s handy. The keyboard has taken a lot of great reviews as well. Pocket-lint described it as “the best virtual keyboard we’ve used.”

Evidently, the Nokia Lumia phones have taken the tech junkies by surprise in a very good way. You can surely have fun and work at the same time. It makes life simpler and better. This is what makes Nokia Lumia 620, 820 and 920, powered by Windows 8, the best choice for you. This is the best phone that would suit you.

Now, the question: where do I buy Nokia Lumia?

Answer: ABENSON.

Abenson is one of the Philippines’ biggest appliance network. They have the best deals and the best people to talk to. Their reputation is undeniable. For years, people have bought appliances and the current gadgets in the nearest Abenson store in their locale. Our family, for one, purchased home appliances, mobile technology and other gadgets from Abenson. It has not only been a part of the economic structure of the country, but also of people’s lives. The 0% interest on installment plans make it easier for credit card holders to buy the gadgets they want. Plus, they have exclusive freebies, such as USBs, tablets, hard drives and much more. The thing is, they have so much to offer.

All I Want For Christmas Is...

0

...a classroom-instrument arrangement.

Steven Tyler would have put it as 'BRILLIANTLY AWKWARD.' All I can say is, this performance is simply BRILLIANT. It seems to me that people are really enjoying this fun version of Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'. Props to The Roots, Jimmy Fallon, the lovely kids and the queen, Mariah Carey. The classic Christmas song with a festive twist.

Everyone, this is...ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU, the classroom-instrument arrangement.

Fun. Cute. Awesome. Amazing. Brilliant. Genius.

Share the fun. Yes.

11 Questions

0

Let's have some blog activity. Yeah, it's old-school. It is fun though.

Rule 1: Post the rules.
Rule 2: Answer the questions your tagger set for you and then make 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know they’ve been tagged.

I've been tagged by moonlight1012.

1. What is your favorite Sci-Fi movie of all time?
The Star Wars Trilogy--that's Episode IV, V and VI.
2. If you could meet your favorite actor/actress, who would it be?
Ohh, could I give my top three? I would like to meet Gillian Anderson, James McAvoy and Denzel Washington. Obviously, Gillian Anderson tops my list! I just really admire her as an actress, a woman and definitely as a person. James McAvoy, oh, he's the perfect guy! Haha! And of course, Denzel Washington because he is the best actor ever! It would be an honor to meet them. It would be a dream come true.
3. Do you like your name? If you don’t, which name would you give yourself?
Yes, I do! Actually, I love my name. It's unique! :)
4. If you can be another person for one day, who would it be?
Hmmm...Agent Dana Scully. I know she's a fictional character, but she's such an amazing character. I would want to be her for a day. It would be cool to live a life as an FBI Agent and a doctor, and know and feel what it's like to be both. Haha. Plus, there's Mulder. Heh.
5. What’s your favorite song?
Too many, but I think I can give you a definite answer. 'Make It Happen' by Mariah Carey. This song is at its best when it's performed live. It's inspiring. Helped me get through a lot of things.
6. What’s the craziest thing you ever did?
I have no idea. Haha. Crazy boring, probably.
7. What’s your favorite quote of a show/movie/book?
I have a bunch! I'll give you one. It's from The X-Files. The Truth, Part 2. Oh, Mulder.
"I'd like to congratulate you on succeeding where so many before you have failed. A bullet between the eyes would have been preferable to this charade. But I've learned to pretend over the past nine years--to pretend that my victories mattered only to realize that no one was keeping score. To realize that liars do not fear the truth if there are enough liars. That the devil is just one man with a plan but evil, true evil, is a collaboration of men which is what we have here today. If I am a guilty man, my crime is in daring to believe that the truth will out and that no one lie can live forever. I believe it still. Much as you try to bury it, the truth is out there. Greater than your lies, the truth wants to be known. You will know it. It'll come to you, as it's come to me faster than the speed of light."
8. What would you be if you could choose between vampire, werewolf and fairy?
Fairy! Haha.
9. Something you can not live without?
Heartbeat?
10. What is your favorite place: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or Tumblr?
The web! All of the above. Most of the time Facebook and Twitter. Tumblr for the fandom and YouTube for entertainment!
11. Who’s your favorite hero?
If we speak of 'hero' as it is technically defined, I guess, my favorite hero would be Andres Bonifacio. Of all the Filipino heroes we have, he's the one the came to mind first. His life, his work, his ideas, his principles is very admirable. He is someone I would look up to when it comes to my country.
When it comes to 'hero' as it is ideally defined, this is a no brainer. My favorite heroes ever--my loving parents! Without them, I would not be the person who I am now. They are the real heroes.
As regards to superheroes--Professor X, Jean Grey and Mulder & Scully are my favorites! Professor X's mind and ability. Jean Grey's power. Mulder & Scully's humanity, intelligence, compassion, passion, faith and truth.
Here are my questions for you.

1. If you were given the chance to live again, would you take it?
2. Do you believe in God?
3. What is your favorite show of all time?
4. James McAvoy or Michael Fassbender?
5. Who is your favorite athlete of all time?
6. Are you enjoying your course/job/career right now?
7. If there is one place you could visit before you die, where would you go?
8. If there is one person you would like to meet (athlete, actor, actress, musician or anyone), who would that be?
9. Favorite new show?
10. Have you seen or watched The X-Files? If you have, what's your favorite episode? If you have not, would you ever consider watching this amazing show?
11. Who are you?

I am tagging you because you are awesome!

As to youuu three, I can't seem to find your blog links, so here I am just tagging you. You awesome, Archietects!
  • Uriel
  • Shen
  • Janssen
You complete the circle. Thank you! :)

From the serious to the not-so-serious, to the fun facts!

4

Ohhh, a blog activity!

So, I was told I have been tagged and it is quite a challenge--a fun challenge, that is! Well, at least this blog will cease to be boring. (laughs) For now. Special thanks to Layla for tagging me and allowing me to dig deep and share with you some random facts about me--weird, boring, intriguing and just some facts so random you would not expect from me! Ahh-ha.

The magic number is six. I would have to stick with it.

Let us begin!

1. I have watched the SCREAM movies multiple times.

'Multiple' is probably the right adjective. I have no idea how many times I have seen the trilogy. It's definitely more than 50. For the record though, I am not a psycho. (laughs) The Scream franchise is just too awesome not to appreciate. It's genius, a work of art. It is pop culture. Slasher movies boomed because of Scream. I know the script by heart as well! (Sumasabay sa nagsasalita habang nanonood. lol) It was my first movie craze. I have the VHS, VCDs and of course, the DVD. SCRE4M is catching up. I've seen it more than 4 times already, hence, multiple--thanks to Star Movies.

2. When every teenager was watching Dawson's Creek, I was watching Michael Hayes/The Pretender/Harsh Realm/Millennium.

In other words, when I was 13 and every teenager I know (even my older brothers) was watching Dawson's Creek, I was not. As far as I can remember, this show was on a Monday and The X-Files was on a Monday in a different channel, although at a different time. There was no way I'd miss the first few minutes of the show (considering Filipino time). Thus, I had to watch the 8-9pm show on RPN 9 whatever that show was and I am thankful for that. These shows--Michael Hayes, The Pretender, Harsh Realm and Millennium are great shows. I prefer TV shows with the 18-40+ demographic. Buffy, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Felicity were the few shows which had the teen demographic I watched back then. Heh.

3. I don't drink softdrinks.

The carbonated drinks? Coke, Sprite, Royal, etc.? A NO, NO. Tried coca-cola when I was much younger, but all I can remember is it tastes/ed bitter which is weird. (Haha) That was probably the only time I drank (tasted, actually) such drink. Never again! :)

4. My dream job is to be an FBI Agent.

Having learned the qualifications as provided in the FBI website, I have come to accept that it is simply that, a dream--nothing more. (I lack U.S. Citizenship, lol). Of course, it's about The X-Files! Haha. It has/had to be. It's cool.

Might as well include Forensic Pathologist. It's still possible--if my mind can still take it. Medicine after Law? Well, why not?! Impossible is nothing. In all honesty though, I think law is my path. God led me here. Still, the dream will always be there.

5. I have always believed that Hubert Webb was/is innocent.

Photo from JFHW

Way back 1999 to early 2000, when I was in first year high school, the Webb case, or the so-called Vizconde Massacre, was a hot topic. As far I can remember, it was the time the trial court was to render a decision. I was young, but was aware of what was happening and what have been said in the media and everywhere else, but I stood my ground--always believed in his innocence and this became the primary reason why I am in law school. Innocent people wronged by the system--that's something! They, too, have the right to justice. When he was acquitted on December 14, 2010, I was so happy that finally, someone listened. It was a defining moment. (Still not able to write about it, but I hope someday I could do it...I have been wanting write about it though).

6. I have three brothers, no sister. I am the youngest...and I am a fangirl but I don't look or act like it.

Aha! Three boys and a girl. My parents get a lot of 'that's lucky!' comments. There might be some truth to that. It's nice having three older brothers. Lots of He-Man, Skeletor, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys. Those toys are gone now but my barbie dolls still exist--the last toys standing! (Hahaha!)

This last fact, hmm, seems like all sorts of things ha. Let's make the connection. Since I have brothers and no sister, I am not used to being a fangirl as it is normally defined. I don't squee nor do I do those fangirl screams. However, I do fangirl when I am online. Let the words/emoticons do the talking and acting. Haha. Get it?

For now, let us settle with these six random facts about me--from the serious to the not-so-serious, to the fun facts. Appreciate! :)

And now, it's time to spread this activity. Consider yourselves tagged! :)
Hope you appreciate this blog activity ha. :)

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you - hot knife through butter.
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself
4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

No pressure!

Finally, mov .gifs!

0

Finally made my own mov gifs! Thanks to x-filesgifs for helping me out and queeneverdeen for the tutorial!

I have been wanting to create gifs of my favorite TV/Movie scenes/clips and finally, I did! I have no idea what to call them--I just refer to them as mov gifs. (laughs)

My gifs are usually texts or photos.Take this one, for example:

And this one, for the fandom! A scene from an episode of The X-Files, Chinga.

Photobucket

Now, I've learned how to make gifs from video files. (Again, thanks to internet geniuses who willingly shared the trick) I am still, of course, a newbie when it comes to these mov gifs. So bear with me.

OMG. I DID IT. I FINALLY DID IT!

Photobucket

AWWWW. SOME MSR (Mulder & Scully Relationship) FOR YA!

Photobucket

I will surely work on more gifs and improve the editing, effects, artsy kinds of stuffs and those artsy gif tricks. So, watch out! :)

The Moon Last Night.

0

April 6, 2012 - Good Friday.

The moon was so beautiful last night that you don't need to edit the photos or use photo effects to see its beauty. It's simply amazing.

In case you're wondering, the trick is to use your camera's video feature rather than simply taking a picture. Well, that's if you have a simple digital camera like ours. A simple click won't do the trick not unless you have a camera that could really capture such an amazing moon.

It was indeed a Good Friday moon.

Too cool not to share.

0

This video was featured on ANC and I have to admit, I was entertained not just because of Rafael Nadal but because of the ad itself. A very cool idea. Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Nadal, Tennis, and Football--well, that says it all. And yes, the shoes. It's all about the shoes. Whoever conceptualized this ad is a genius--marketing wise. It will surely get people's attention.

This is too cool not to share. See for yourself. :)

Rafa's moves. Ronaldo's reaction. It's just great.

It is so entertaining that you can't help but share it.

Nomnomnomstagram.

1

Instagram is "IN" nowadays that it makes you want to have an iPhone, iPad, and those oh-so-expensive iProducts. It is so "in" that we've heard news about Android's own version of it. Well, that's something to watch out for--I think. The competition? It's cool. It is innovative.

Yet, for people like me who'd settle with what we/I have right now, we can "create" these photo effects with the amazing and forever reliable Photoshop and similar softwares. Thanks to the world wide web, we have the Instagram tutorials. Yes, you can have your own Instagram photos but you either have to follow those tutorials or simply get hold of the "photoshop actions".

Google is the key.

Take for example these photos. The FOOD is lookin' good--very artsy.

No iPhone, no iPad, no iProducts. Just Photoshop.

The great thing about these photo effects is that it makes a not-so-good photo quality look good. I guess that's one of its fine points.

All photoshop.

Awesome dishes from Nomnomnom too. Happy food. Delicious. The place is cozy and neat. You might want to visit this place. Nomnomnom Happy Food, Tomas Morato cor. E. Rodriguez. They have good food. Check it. Check it!

You gotta love food and Photoshop!

Sorry 'bout the confusion.

0

I know I should have stuck with my very unique username for the blog address. Now, shared links/posts are all messed up. So sorry for the confusion--assuming I have readers in this blog. lol. I'll be using my unique username for mi blog address because it's cool and it's me. Titles can be changed anyway. I will be sticking with this blog title for now since I would not be able to create a banner for the new one. Hehe!

Anyway, all is set. It is http://mulder8scully5.blogspot.com.

Thank you.
